Meta has unveiled a fresh WhatsApp application tailored for Mac users, incorporating a group calling feature. Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO, and founder of Meta, revealed that this feature will facilitate video calls with a maximum of eight participants and audio calls with up to 32 participants.
Earlier this year, the company had introduced a comparable feature for Windows desktop users.
In an official blog post, WhatsApp stated, “With the new WhatsApp app for Mac, users can now make group calls from Mac for the first time, connecting with up to 8 people on video calls and up to 32 people on audio calls. They can join a group call after it’s started, see call history and choose to receive incoming call notifications even when the app is closed.
